Where are your desires taking you this summer?

This year, I am staying close to home, moving through France between Brittany, Burgundy and the Pyrenees, surrounded by friends and family.

Evenings stretch long as we watch the sun dissolve into the horizon. Afternoons are spent cooking for generous tables, preparing meals meant to be shared. I wake early to write, to read, to walk in the quiet before the day unfolds. And toward late afternoon, you will find me by the water with a book, a sudoku puzzle and my camera close at hand.

We are lucky to have landscapes so striking, so varied, within reach.

How does summer shape your world and the projects you create?

Summer is my personal reset. A season I treat like the Home Retreats I host through Perssee — a space to return to myself.

To reconnect with intuition and creativity, I wander through farmers’ markets, drawn to sun-ripened produce and the rhythm of what’s in season. I imagine the images I want to bring to life, the atmosphere I long to build, the world I am slowly shaping.

I spend hours walking through forests or along the water, cooking with family and friends, letting conversations stretch into the evening. And sometimes, when the light turns impossibly beautiful, I gather a team and create a shoot on impulse — simply because the moment feels right.

How do you capture what inspires you?

My film camera, an Olympus Mju II, has followed me everywhere for years. These days, I move between my iPhone — I love the immediacy of the stories format — and analog photography for the images I want to hold onto longer, print large, or for subjects that simply feel better on film than on screen.

I always carry notebooks with me. One for Perssee. One for my personal reflections. One for raw creative ideas. When I travel or spend time away with friends, I let go of my usual writing discipline. A different rhythm takes over, sometimes just for a week. Travel stirs something open in me.

It is that sense of creative freedom I try to weave into everyday life — a gentle reset practice, the same spirit I share through Perssee.
