At the heart of Racyne, there is the conviction that exceptional perfumery and social and environmental commitment can be combined.
We aspire to offer inspiring products that are both beautiful and good, combining sensory experience, desirable aesthetics and sustainability. In everything we do, whether it is the choice of our suppliers, the sourcing of ingredients, the design or our production methods, we act with care and transparency, guided by the objective of limiting our impact.
We are not perfect, we are convinced that this is a practical and scalable approach, long-term, and the only way to promote essential changes within our industry.
Here is an overview of our choices and commitments to date.
Our formulas are designed to be more environmentally friendly. Our perfumes are formulated with more than 95% ingredients of natural and renewable origin. Nature guides us both through its hedonism and its olfactory richness but also because it allows us to free ourselves from fossil fuels and to favor raw materials which regenerate over a short life cycle.
At Racyne, our goal is to use natural raw materials of the highest quality and sustainably sourced: we are committed and collaborate with Laboratoires Monique Rémy, French pioneer of traceable, transparent and sustainable natural products.
Each ingredient in our perfumes is carefully selected: our perfumes are without harmful preservatives (BHA, BHT, parabens, etc.), without phthalates, without chemical UV filters, without colorants and much more. We favored the use of organic wheat alcohol to dilute the perfume concentrates. European legislation and IFRA already strongly regulate the formulation, we went a little further and preferred to exclude certain ingredients. We provide the details of our formulas for greater transparency.
Our formulas are short and made in France, in Grasse in the cradle of perfume know-how. We have eliminated all ingredients of animal origin, our formulas are vegan and, of course, not tested on animals.

Our products are designed, tested and manufactured in France, hand in hand with local producers. The design was co-created with an independent Parisian design studio. The “juice” was imagined in Paris and produced in Grasse. Our box and our label are produced in the Paris region, our cotton pouch is sewn in Hauts-de-France in a French family factory. The pouch is manufactured in the Jura and the assembly of the product is carried out in Vallauris. The exception that proves the rule is our bottle which comes from our Italian neighbors.
Bottle
Our bottles are made of glass and have a reduced glass weight, they are on average 20% lighter than the bottles on the market.*
We chose a screw neck in order to better be able to separate the elements for recycling and ultimately be able to refill the bottles.
They are not lacquered in order to avoid any recyclability problems.
*study carried out on more than 200 industry standard bottles.
Cap
Our caps are made of bioresin, a partly biosourced material and incorporate upcycled wood chips from the wood industry. These wood chips make each cap unique and give them a speckled, perfectly imperfect appearance. Unlike a common industry practice, our caps are not weighted; we do not add dense material to make them appear heavier to the touch.
Cases and packages
All of our shipping boxes, tissue papers and wrapping papers are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
This certification ensures the traceability of materials and guarantees the legality of exploitation, the absence of a link to deforestation, sustainable forest management and the conservation of biodiversity. The FSC certification system is demanding: only 5% of the world's forests are FSC certified. In France, this figure is 0.5% in 2023, mainly in private forests.
We wanted to go further and favored the use of recycled paper: in addition to being FSC certified, the paper in our cases contains 80% recycled fibers, which gives it this beautiful organic appearance. The paper in our shipping boxes and thank you cards is 100% recycled.
We have eliminated the plastic cellophane around the cases and do not add hot foil stamping or large flat areas of printing.
Pochon
To be completely transparent, this pouch should not have been present in the initial packaging, but faced with an unforeseen production incident, we had to use it to protect the bottle. We work with a family factory located in Roubaix, we upcycle raw cotton from their unsold stock, intended for the manufacture of sheets in the 90s. The cords are made of cotton from a family rope factory located in Toulouse.
When creating, we came up against realities: time, necessary investments too high for our emerging structure... We have identified points of improvement for the years to come:
• Invest in a mold that allows us to manufacture our cover in an innovative biomaterial that we have investigated already, with a contemporary appearance and completely biodegradable.
• Create aluminum perfume refills so that you can reuse our bottles.
• Improve our case design.
